48 HOURS IN NEW YORK CITY - WHAT WE DID
So, back in November, my friend Jacob and I spontaneously went to NYC for 48 hours and vlogged ALL of it. Here's what we did!
EVERYTHING WE DID:
SUPER AFFORDABLE NYC HOTEL:
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in the Financial District. It was a beautiful area and was close to Battery Park and many subways!
BEST NYC TRANSPORTATION:
The most efficient transportation in the city is definitely the Subway. Plus, it's the best place for people watching!
If you're more of the taxi type, or just want a little break from the hustle and bustle, Lyft is your best option. Like Uber, but much cheaper and, in my opinion, cooler. Also, get a FREE RIDE if you use my code: CECILEBIZET
Bus from Newburyport, MA to Boston:
We took C&J to Boston and enjoyed FREE parking at the station. Super fast and convenient
Megabus from Boston to NYC:
Megabus has its quirks, but it is super affordable and drops you off right in Chelsea (central, not too busy, and right next to subway stop). Be sure to BOOK EARLY for crazy good deals!
BEST ONE DOLLAR PIZZA:
Who can go to NYC without getting a killer $1 slice!? Our favorite is 2 Bros - it's pretty amazing! They also have locations all around the city do you can't miss it.
Awesome mall/subway station/architecture! Worth it for the people watching and time-lapse opportunities :)
BEST VIEW OF THE STATUE OF LIBERTY:
Battery Park is probably the best view from Manhattan of the Statue of Liberty. So worth it!
Need I say more? My favorite place in NYC for fast food... Yum!
Have a hair emergency in NYC?
Look no further than Bumble and Bumble Salon on 56th St. Wonderful service and an awesome vibe!
Ess-A-Bagel is seriously the best ever...100% worth it. Don't forget to bring a dozen home!
Biggest Camera Store in NYC:
B&H Photo Video Superstore is CRAZY... Totally worth a visit for any photo/video lovers out there!
